Dr. Karan Thakur

Dr. Karan Thakur is currently the Group Sustainability Lead & Vice President – Public Affairs for the Apollo Hospitals Group, New Delhi with wide experience in health policy, hospital operations, projects, health communications and healthcare sustainability & ESG. Dr. Thakur is an alumnus of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, IIM Bangalore and National Law University, New Delhi. He was the 2022 Global Fellow from India for the Eisenhower Fellowships & the recipient of the Thomas B. McCabe Fellow recognition.

Was awarded the ‘Young Leader Award’ in 2012 by Apollo Hospitals Group, was awarded the ’40 Under 40’ in Healthcare by Asia One and 25 Dominant Leaders in the Healthcare Industry 2019 by The CEO Magazine.Dr. Thakur is a member of FICCI ESG Taskforce, Health & Environment Leadership Platform Steering CMTE, CAHO Engineer’s Forum, ASSOCHAM Healthcare Committee and CAHO Students Research Committee. He is also a life member of CAHO, Academy of Healthcare Administrators and GRI Certified Sustainability.
