Dr. Guriqbal Singh Jaiya

Dr. Jaiya is a seasoned professional with a remarkable career spanning over four decades. His empowering individuals and organizations to harness the power of technology. Dr. Jaiya’s journey in IP began as an IAS Officer from November 1990 to October 1993. During this time, he played a pivotal role in shaping IP policy matters. His expertise extended to representing the Indian government in international negotiations. In 1993, Dr. Jaiya joined the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland, where he served for over two decades. Upon returning to India in September 2017, his expertise in IP proved invaluable in navigating the complexities of digital health data management and protection. He has been actively involved in shaping the National Digital Health Blueprint and contributing to the development of health IT standards.
