Dr. John C. Camillus is the Donald R. Beall Professor of Strategic Management at the Katz Graduate School of Business and Professor of Industrial Engineering at the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. Previously, he was Professor of Management at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA).
He earned his Doctor of Business Administration degree at Harvard University; he was a gold medalist in the Post Graduate Programme at IIMA; and received his Bachelor of Technology degree (in mechanical engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Camillus has published extensively in professional journals and authored several books. He has served as a consultant to the top management of over 100 organizations on four continents, including many Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
Most notably, among his numerous awards, he has received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIMA, the Inaugural Katz Diversity and Global Leadership Award, the Best Teacher Award at IIMA and, at the University of Pittsburgh, the Chancellor’s Distinguished Public Service Award and the Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award.
