Kali currently serves as the vice president of innovation and mobile architecture at Nuance Communications where he oversees various divisional responsibilities such as innovation development, program management, beta testing, strategic partnerships, client success and business operations. Armed with more than 17 years of international experience in developing and leading product teams in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, Kali has extensive experience working with clinical and IT leadership at a vast number of healthcare institutions, as well as an intimate knowledge and understanding of today’s evolving health information technology challenges, from both the clinical and technical perspectives. Kali is extremely client focused and his strength is operational excellence and managing large/complex problems successfully.
Prior to joining Nuance, Kali worked at Eclipsys Corporation where he held a variety of roles ranging from global operations director to heading up product development for several product lines, including laboratory, radiology, blood bank, surgery, and health information management (HIM). Additionally, he has been closely involved in the development and deployment of electronic medical records (EMRs) at large organizations across the country.
Kali holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He has spoken at a number of leading industry events on various topics, including mobility and innovation at the HIMSS Mobile Conference, a HIT Industry panelist at the Boston Investor Conference, and presented on global operations at the Zinnov Executive Conference. He also periodically contributes to HIT articles on Innovation, Operational Excellence and other topics.
